Frequently Asked Questions
Yale Explores events bring together the Yale community for an evening of connection and interdisciplinary exploration of challenges facing our world. At each event, members of the Yale faculty discuss a pressing topic from a variety of perspectives, and President Peter Salovey highlights Yale’s vital role in these crucial conversations. Lively receptions before and after the presentation provide opportunities for networking, conversation, and engagement with fellow Yalies.
Yale Explores events are open to all Yale alumni, parents, and friends.
The registration fee for a Yale Explores event is $25 per person or $15 for Bulldogs of the Last Decade (BOLD) alumni (classes of 2010-2019).
You are welcome to bring a guest to the event; guests are not required to have a Yale affiliation.
We don’t issue tickets for Yale Explores events, but you will receive a confirmation email once you register. We advise having your confirmation number on hand when you check in at the event.
While there isn’t a formal Q&A period during the program, you will have the opportunity at the post-program reception to interact with the presenters and ask questions.
Both receptions will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, food stations, and a full bar. Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be available. We promise you won’t leave hungry!
Business attire is suggested…and a touch of Yale blue is encouraged!
The “Expected Attendees” tab on the event registration site lists the names of people who have registered to attend.
Each program is video-and audio-taped, and recordings are uploaded to the Yale Explores website following each event.
